Rick Robinson

Rick Robinson brings over three decades of expertise as an acoustics, audio, video, and room control/ automation design consultant. With a dynamic career spanning various roles, he’s excelled in design, project management, and budgeting for multi-million-dollar A/V and technology projects.

Notably, Rick is an adept designer of sound, video presentation/walls, video distribution, complex audio systems, and video controls. His responsibilities extend to supervising, hands on development, and coordinating projects with Architects, MEP teams, and Owners across a range of project types.

Renowned for innovative and outside-the-box problem-solving, Rick is known for creating elegant solutions to complex challenges. His areas of expertise encompass Conceptual and Master Planning, Acoustics, Sound Systems & Video Design, Theatrical Lighting, Room Control/ Automation Systems, Multi-Camera Video Conferencing, Courtroom Technology, Emergency Operations Centers, and Public Safety Centers.

Linda Robinson brings 30+ years in banking, finance, and insurance consulting to Media Design Group. She has served in a variety of markets such as bank management, mortgage lending, insurance agent and consulting. She has been with Media Design Group since its inception.

Acoustic/ Electrical Engineer – Sound System Design

Christopher Sowden, P.E.

Mr. Sowden brings over 35 years of extensive experience in acoustical, sound system and electrical engineering services, specializing in a wide spectrum of fields. His core expertise spans building and room acoustics, noise control, electro-acoustics, sound design, and audio/ visual and production lighting systems.

His career highlights encompass the design of acoustics and technical systems for diverse entertainment venues, including arenas, worship, sports facilities, meeting facilities, and theaters. He has also excelled in creating audio/visual presentation and control systems for professional, educational, and training facilities, as well as crafting interior acoustical designs for broadcast studios, auditoriums, rehearsal halls, performance facilities, and convention centers. Furthermore, Mr. Sowden’s talents extend to designing architectural and mechanical noise and vibration control systems for office buildings, hotels, and apartment complexes.

In addition to his prolific design work, Mr. Sowden has shared his wealth of knowledge through seminars and presentations for esteemed organizations, including the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), Audio Engineering Society (AES), National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), and others. His vast areas of expertise encompass Sound and Acoustics, Automation Control, Conceptual and Master Planning, Budgeting, Construction Documents, Construction Administration, and Final Commissioning.

Ronnie Brown

Ronnie Brown, a telecommunications consultant with over thirty years of experience, has excelled in various roles, including Quality Control and Project Management for major voice and data infrastructure contractors. With more than sixteen years in design, he’s played a pivotal role in large-scale telecommunications projects. Ronnie’s unique insight and detail in design is further enhanced by his practical experience in the building construction industry.

His extensive background encompasses data, voice, and video communications in multi-site campus environments, fiber optic networks, cable plant facilities, local area networks, metropolitan area networks, and video distribution networks. This includes Wide Area Networks, access control systems, noise masking systems, and broadband distribution systems.

Ronnie’s areas of expertise include Conceptual and Master Planning, Voice Systems, and Access Control Systems.

TECHNICAL DESIGNER/CAD MANAGER

Jim Story

Jim Story is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the field of ComputerAided Design (CAD), engineering, and support applications. With a certification as a Technology Specialist since January 2004, Jim has established himself as a proficient expert in Revit and AutoCAD.

His expertise extends to CAD production, encompassing training, programming, configuration, and custom application development, along with AutoLISP programming. Jim is well-versed in various technical aspects, including plotting, scanning, and raster editing, as well as hardware and software configuration.

Jim’s career has been marked by his specialization in designing, specifying, and supporting audio-visual systems (including presentation and sound reinforcement systems, RF distribution systems) and security systems (comprising access control, intrusion detection, surveillance, and integration).

Jim’s wealth of experience and expertise make him an invaluable asset to any project or team, and his dedication to excellence is evident in his extensive professional journey

Security/ Building Access

Igor Abadzic

Igor is a professional with over 20 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering, particularly specializing in the design of electronic security and building access systems for various criminal justice facilities. Currently, he holds the position of firm manager and serves as the lead designer on projects. Igor takes on a multifaceted role, which involves providing oversight and training to technical support staff, collaborating with the engineering team on projects, and managing workflow, scheduling, and technology applications.

Igor’s design expertise extends to various technologies for a wide range of security systems. He is highly regarded for his broad technical knowledge and ability to create responsive and effective designs. His deep understanding of products and processes is instrumental in the design and construction of these systems. Furthermore, Igor’s established relationships with security systems integrators contribute to the development of superior means and methods for system implementation, installation, service, and maintenance, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.

In addition to his extensive practical experience, Igor holds several professional certifications, including CSNA (Cisco Networks Certification), BOSCH Networks Bases Certification, PELCO Network Bases Certification, Sensor Security Outdoor Perimeter Security Certification, and a Certificate of Training in Programmable Logic Controllers.
